My "teacher" for applied elec at trade school told me the way to work out the difference in resistance between copper and aluminium at 20*C was to subtract the differences of the resistivity coefficients and the subtract that answer from the resistance given for copper to determine the resistance of aluminium. I always thought since high school that ratios were determined through division and multiplication. Now don't I feel the fool!
